Rhone Valley
The Rhone River meanders from the edge of the Alps into the Mediterranean Sea, and is home to some of the most delicious red wines in France. Grande Krewe Abroad is all about the Southern Rhone with a home base at the beautiful Hotel d’Europe in our favorite and charming village of Avignon. A staggering 80% of the wines produced in this region are red wines, primarily from the Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre grapes.

This 7-day adventure begins in Paris and takes us to the Rhone Valley by way of Avignon. Highlights include a private tour of the Pope’s summer residence, the Avignon Cathedral, and private wine tastings at Jane and Bob’s favorite wineries in Rhone’s Chateauneuf du Pape and Vasqueyras regions.
